PM arrives at Istana Negara to meet the King


KUALA LUMPUR: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob has arrived at Istana Negara here to meet the Yang di-Pertuan Agong.

Ismail Sabri was seen waving and giving the thumbs-up to the press from inside his car.

He entered the palace from the main entrance at 3.49pm Thursday (Oct 6).

The Prime Minister has earlier downplayed his 4pm meeting stating that this was his weekly pre-Cabinet audience with the King.

“The discussions will be on issues that will be discussed in Cabinet and papers that will be presented,” he said.

The meeting with the King will be most closely watched as many are anticipating for the Prime Minister to seek dissolution of Parliament.

The current Parliament term will end in July 2023.
