GEORGE TOWN: His bloodied shirt and the sight of the dead when the Sultan Abdul Halim ferry terminal in Butterworth collapsed are etched permanently into Datuk Seri Dr Ooi Eng Hock’s mind.

Till today, 34 years later, he remembers the smell and sight of the blood of victims which stained his round-collared white shirt during the rescue. He could hardly eat for days after the tragedy.
