Thunderstorms, heavy rain in five states until 9pm, says MetMalaysia


KUALA LUMPUR: The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has forecast thunderstorms, heavy rain, and strong winds in five states until 9pm on Thursday (June 4).

MetMalaysia said the areas covered include the entire state of Kelantan; Kedah (involving Kuala Muda, Sik, Baling and Kulim); and Besut in Terengganu.

In Sarawak, bad weather is expected to hit Kuching, Serian, Samarahan, Pakan and Julau in Sarikei, Kanowit in Sibu, and Song in Kapit.

In Sabah, the affected areas are Nabawan and Tambunan in the Interior division, Papar and Ranau in the West Coast division, and Lahad Datu in Tawau. — Bernama
