Zuraida says still waiting to meet PM

PETALING JAYA: Datuk Zuraida Kamaruddin (pic) said she is still waiting to meet Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob to discuss her position in the Cabinet.

The Plantation Industries and Commodities Minister also confirmed that there was no meeting between her and Ismail Sabri on Wednesday (June 22) morning.

"I am still waiting for the date, as it was the Cabinet meeting and there was no discussion," Sinar Harian quoted Zuraida as saying when met at the KL International Airport on Wednesday (June 22).

The Ampang MP is scheduled to attend the Malaysian Cocoa Industry award ceremony at a hotel in Kota Kinabalu at 7.45pm on Wednesday.

Last Thursday (June 16), Ismail Sabri told newsmen he would meet Zuraida before the Cabinet meeting on Wednesday to discuss her position.

Before this, Bersatu president Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin had said the post should be given to the party as it was their quota as part of the agreement with Ismail Sabri.
