Dr Wee also said that history was made with the launch of the new MRT Putrajaya Line.

“History was made when Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob launched the long anticipated MRT Putrajaya Line Phase One today.

“In his speech, YAB PM also announced the good news that all services under RapidKL, namely MRT, LRT, BRT, Monorail RapidKL buses, KTM Komuter services will be free of charge for a month from today for public transport users, especially those in the Klang Valley.

“Despite the Covid-19 pandemic, we are able to make public infrastructure projects such as MRT Putrajaya Line a reality with the dedication and commitment of those involved.

“Congratulations to everyone at MRT Corp and all who are involved for making this project a success for the good of Malaysians, especially public transport users,” he said this in a Facebook post on Thursday (June 16).
