Businessman with Jho Low links declared bankrupt after failing to pay RM68mil in taxes


KUALA LUMPUR (June 14): The High Court here has declared Eric Tan Kim Loong, who is alleged to be an associate of fugitive businessman Low Taek Jho or Jho Low, a bankrupt after he failed to pay income tax amounting to RM68,334,219.01 to the government.

Senior Assistant Registrar Chai Guan Hock recorded the bankruptcy order after hearing a creditor's petition filed by the government through the Inland Revenue Board (LHDN) against Tan on Dec 15, 2021.
