PETALING JAYA: On March 5 this year, Malaysia reported 33,406 new Covid-19 infections, the highest number of daily infections ever recorded since the pandemic started.

Two months later and the wave of cases has ebbed with reported daily infections remaining below 3,000 since May 14.
