CHINESE actress Zhang Ziyi (pic), who left her bag at a milk tea shop, returned to thank the owners personally, Sin Chew Daily reported.

The star, who gained fame for her role in Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, had inadvertently left her bag at the shop on May 19.

Luckily, the shop owners managed to contact her via personal details found inside the bag.

Zhang, 43, sent her driver to pick up the bag.

The next day, she surprised the shop owners by showing up to thank them.

“This is the most memorable May 20 for me. She (Zhang) was so beautiful and so gentle,” the shop owner’s sister wrote online.

“She even signed my apron. This is the best May 20 gift,” she added.

She even got a chance to take a photo together with the superstar.

Many Internet users praised Zhang for her gesture, saying that the celebrity knew how to show gratitude.

> The daily also reported that two housemates in Malaysia learned a lesson the hard way about friendship when someone they knew for 19 years stole their money to pay for prostitutes.

Apparently, the so-called friend had siphoned money from their bank accounts by stealing their online banking password and debit card details.

They were initially perplexed over missing funds from their bank accounts.

Eventually, they went through their friend’s phone.

One of the housemates, known by his Facebook name William Khoo, said he and his friend found evidence of fund transfers from the phone which matched the amounts that disappeared from their bank accounts.

“I found Telegram messages on his phone showing he patronised prostitutes. At that time, he had a girlfriend.

“He would spend between RM800 and RM2,500 a month to fund his habit. He would often claim that he was broke and had to send money home,” Khoo said.
