PD cops looking for reckless biker caught on video

PORT DICKSON: Police are looking for a motorcyclist who was captured on video riding recklessly along the Seremban-Port Dickson Highway.

Port Dickson OCPD Supt Aidi Sham Mohamed said the motorcyclist was seen riding without holding the handlebars and flailing his arms about as if he was dancing.

The clip, which has been widely shared on social media, was shot from a car behind the motorcyclist.

“The incident took place on Nov 25 along the highway near Bandar Springhill,” Supt Aidi Sham said in a statement on Sunday (April 3).

He said from the video, police could determine the registration number and make of the motorcycle.

“We hope the individual concerned will present himself at the district police station as soon as possible to assist the investigation,” he said.

The case is being investigated under Section 42(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987 for driving or riding recklessly.

The suspect will also be investigated under Section 336 of the Penal Code for committing a rash or negligent act that could endanger the personal safety or lives of others, Supt Aidi Sham added.
