KOTA KINABALU: Attending a convocation ceremony may be straightforward for most but not for 24-year-old Jasri Mangi from Sabah's rural Pensiangan district.

The Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS) student, who comes from the B40 group, recalled how he had to go the extra mile – including hiking up trails and hills – to get better Internet reception to fill up a form confirming his attendance.
