BUKIT MERTAJAM: Two policemen were arrested along with Perak's Pasir Bedamar assemblyman Terence Naidu in Prai on Thursday (Jan 13).
The two were among the 48 suspects arrested along with Terence and are out on police bail after testing positive for drugs.
State Narcotics Crime Investigations Department chief Asst Comm Mustafa Kamal Gani Abdullah said both the two policemen had tested positive for drugs during the raid.
"We're still probing the case and the investigation paper is expected to be ready and submitted to the Deputy Public Prosecutor office sometime next week," he said Friday (Jan 14).
It's learnt that the two policemen are based in Penang and Perak.
Meanwhile, Naidu has lodged a police report of his arrest, a Malay news portal reported.
"I have lodged a report and will be holding a press conference soon," Naidu was quoted as saying.
The case is being investigated under Section 15(1)(a) of the Dangerous Drugs Act.
