Actress Nabila Huda thrilled to study Italian at Universiti Malaya

ACTRESS Nabila Huda has expressed her delight at being accepted to study Italian at Universiti Malaya’s Faculty of Languages and Linguistics, reported Kosmo!.

Nabila said she received a message about her acceptance from the university’s Asian and European Languages Department head.

She had been planning to take the course at the faculty in collaboration with the Italian Embassy in Malaysia.

The daughter of legendary singer Amy Search said she had actively produced a vlog about Italy for three years until the Covid-19 pandemic began.

“I visited Italy three years in a row to check out places that were off the beaten path for my vlog,” she said, adding that her frequent visits to Italy resulted in a good relationship with the Italian Embassy.

She will be starting her course on Oct 18.

> Despite the discomfort, the owner of a burger and ayam golek (grilled chicken with herbs and spices) stall in Kajang, Selangor, wears a Batman costume for over seven hours a day in a bid to attract customers, reported Harian Metro.

Faiz Amirul Mustaqim, 29, stands by the side of the road waving a poster at drivers who pass his stall while his wife Nik Aishah Nik Wahib, 25, gets the orders ready.

Faiz is pleased that his gimmick has paid off as customers not only purchase his food but also take pictures with him.

“I put on the costume at home but only wear the mask when I open the stall.

“Usually, I wear the costume from noon to 7pm or until the stall closes.

“It is hot but it’s a way to promote my shop,” he said when met at his stall called Burgelora.

Faiz started the business last November, selling 12 types of burgers priced between RM3 and RM9 while the ayam golek is sold for RM23.
