Audit: Phase 1 of Langat 2 water project yet to meet implementation objective

KUALA LUMPUR (Bernama): The implementation of Phase 1 of the Langat 2 Water Treatment Plant and Distribution System (LRAL2) project has yet to meet its objective to supply 1,130 million litres of treated water per day to areas around Selangor and Kuala Lumpur.

According to the Auditor-General’s Report 2019 Series 2 released on Tuesday (Sept 28), the performance of the project was unsatisfactory as the delay in completing the water distribution system work package had hampered the distribution of treated water to the northern and western corridors.
