Cops tracing men who fled EMCO at Pantai Dalam

KUALA LUMPUR: Police are tracing the whereabouts of several men believed to have fled the enhanced movement control order at the PPR Pantai Ria at Pantai Dalam.

Brickfields OCPD Asst Comm Anuar Omar said a police report has been lodged over the incident at the Pantai police station.

"The report was lodged after a video of the men slipping under barbed wires there went viral on Facebook.

"We are conducting an operation to track them down for further action," he said.

He added that the case was being investigated under Section 22(b) of the Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases Act.

The two-minute video shows several men slipping one by one under a barbed-wire barricade before crouching between two parked cars.

They then jump over a fence and ran away.

ACP Anuar said the men are believed to be drug addicts.
