KUALA LUMPUR: Several areas in Sabah, Johor and Pahang have been placed under the enhanced movement control order, says Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob (pic).
The Senior Minister (Security) said that in Sabah, five places would be placed under the enhanced MCO from Tuesday (June 22) until July 5 and that two of the places were Kampung Skim Pamalan in Keningau and Kampung Jaya Baru in Kunak.
Ismail Sabri added that the other three places were Taman Wijaya Park and Kampung Serundung Baru in Tawau as well as Ladang Brumas in Kalabakan.
"The locations have been placed under the enhanced MCO given the rise in Covid-19 cases,” he said in a statement on Sunday (June 20).
For Johor, he said that the areas under the enhanced MCO were four localities in Tenglu, Mersing.
"It involves Kampung Tanjung Genting, Kampung Benaung, Kampung Makam and Kampung Sawah Datuk. The enhanced MCO will also be from June 22 until July 5," said Ismail Sabri.
In Pahang, Ismail Sabri said five housing estates in Mentakab, Temerloh have been placed under the enhanced MCO from June 22 until July 5.
"It involves Taman Bukit Bendera, Taman Rimba, Taman Sri Layang, Taman Saga and Taman Saga Indah," he said.
He also announced the extension of the enhanced MCO in Kampung Pulutan in Nabawan, Sabah to July 5.
"The Health Ministry has detected the continuous spread of the virus at the locality. Thus, the enhanced MCO has been extended," he said.
Meanwhile, Ismail Sabri said enhanced MCO will end on schedule in several other areas in Sabah and Pahang at 11.59pm on Monday (June 21).
He said that the areas are Taman Permata in Sandakan, Kampung Ongkilan in Kota Marudu, Kampung Tamalang and Kampung Tuguson in Kota Belud, Kampung Murni C in Nabawa, Kampung Bergosong in Pulau Sebatik, Tawau and Apartment Taman Permata in Sandakan.
"As for Pahang, the areas are Kampung Jaya Gading, part of Kampung Seri Damai and Bandar Baru Jaya Gading as well as Gebeng industrial area in Kuantan," added Ismail Sabri.
