Covid-19: 18 new clusters detected, 10 linked to workplaces


PETALING JAYA: Eighteen new Covid-19 clusters have been identified, with most originating from the workplace.

Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah, in a statement Friday (May 21), said that 10 of the newly discovered clusters were linked to the workplace, with five linked to religious activities.

Four of the clusters were found in Selangor, with one cluster involving both Selangor and Kuala Lumpur.

Two clusters, both linked to religious activities, were found in Kuala Lumpur as well.

Johor recorded the second-highest number of new clusters, with three.

New clusters originating from the community were also found in Perak, Melaka and Labuan.
