KUALA LUMPUR: Umno president Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi says he will let the delegates decide whether to agree with the motion to sever ties with Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu) despite certain groups who do not agree to this.

He said that this was a matter that was decided by the supreme council members and a motion will be tabled at the assembly.

"If they don't agree with this (supreme council’s decision), it is up to them to decide," he said in his policy speech at the Umno General Assembly 2020 on Sunday (March 28).

Umno has decided not to work with Bersatu for the next general election.

The matter was also decided by 124 of 191 Umno divisions.
