KL cops arrest suspect in beer bottle murder

KUALA LUMPUR: Police have arrested a suspect over the murder of a 28-year-old man in Bangsar here.

"On Saturday March 13, a raid was conducted on Jalan 11, Selayang Baru Batu Caves at around 3.30pm. One suspect, a 26-year-old man, was arrested then," said Brickfields OCPD Asst Comm Anuar Omar in a statement Sunday (March 14).

The suspect then led police to several other houses but when police raided those, the suspects were not inside.

Police had previously said that five suspects had been identified.

In the incident, a fight broke out in the early hours of March 13 after a group of men attacked the victim and his friend over a grudge.

During the fight, the victim was slashed with a knife and also stabbed with a beer bottle.
