The hardest decision: Rescued elephant calf Nita put to sleep after fractured limb fails to heal

KOTA KINABALU: A rescued elephant calf was euthanised on Wednesday (March 10) after months of health complications.

The female calf, named Nita, was rescued from a palm oil estate in Tawau district about 20 months ago when it was just a month old.
