KUALA LUMPUR: A 3D animation of a charging bull ramming past its “glass cage” and the shattered shards flying out at a mall in the city is going viral around the world.
The video aired over Pavilion Elite’s giant LED screen has even been shared by Ho Ching, the wife of Singapore Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong, on her Facebook page.
Pavilion Kuala Lumpur chief executive officer (Retail) Datuk Joyce Yap said the glass in the video represents the Covid-19 pandemic, which has caused lockdowns all over the world.
“An icon of strength, the Golden Bull is charging with energy to kick away Covid-19, leading us into a healthy and prosperous 2021.
“In the Chinese zodiac, the bull is a hard-working animal that is full of energy. In the video, the bull becomes active, to lead the charge and fight.
“Everybody has a responsibility to work with the bull to fight Covid-19 and flatten the curve, ” she said when contacted.
Yap added that the ideation took about a month while the actual work on the content took about 10 days to complete.
“There has been an overwhelming response to it. A lot of people go to the concierge to ask where the video is.
“We wanted to display the video every hour at first, but because of the overwhelming response, we run it every three to five minutes, ” said Yap, adding that the video that went viral was actually a trial shot.
