KOTA KINABALU: Those contributing to victims of natural disasters or the Covid-19 pandemic should be mindful of non-biodegradable waste such as plastic packaging for food and one-time-use products – which is what a women-led platform here is pushing for.

Borneo Speaks, a group of like-minded writers who produce community-based stories with a focus on the vulnerable and minority communities, said this was a common issue they observed in donations given by non-governmental organisations (NGOs), the government and the public.
