Sultan Ibrahim: Beware of flood situation in Johor

JOHOR BARU: Johor Ruler Sultan Ibrahim Ibni Almarhum Sultan Iskandar has advised the people in the state to be vigilant due to the flood situation.

His Majesty decreed that the state government together with relevant departments and agencies channel adequate aid to people seeking shelter at relief centres.

“There has been an increase in flood victims due to heavy rainfall with many temporary relief centres opening up in many districts.

“We must remind everyone to take care of their safety and health to avoid any spread of diseases, ” His Majesty said in a statement posted on Sultan Ibrahim’s official Facebook page yesterday.

Sultan Ibrahim also reminded residents, in particular those staying in high-risk areas, to be careful and always follow the authorities’ directive to move out of their houses during floods.

His Majesty decreed that those planning to travel to plan their trip well so that they would avoid routes that were submerged in water.

“Due to the present weather condition, the rakyat must be careful and make the necessary plans. Let us pray together to make sure that everything will recover soon, ” said Sultan Ibrahim.
