Ismail Sabri: Health Ministry to decide if flights from UK should be banned

PUTRAJAYA: The Health Ministry will advise the government there is a need to impose a ban on flights from the United Kingdom, following the discovery of a new Covid-19 strain there which is said to have a higher-than-usual infection rate, says Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob.

The Senior Minister (Security) said health authorities are monitoring the situation there and will evaluate the risks before advising the government on the next course of action.
