EMCO extended for two apartments in Genting until Jan 6, 2021


KUALA LUMPUR: The government has decided to extend the enhanced movement control order at the Ria Apartment and Amber Court Apartment until Jan 6,2021, says Senior Minister (Security) Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob.

However, he said that the enhanced MCO in Rumah Kongsi Kg Semaut will end as scheduled on Wednesday (Dec 23).

He said the government had imposed an enhanced MCO at Amber Court Apartment, Ria Apartment, and Rumah Kongsi Kg Semaut in Genting from Dec 10 to Dec 23.

"For the Amber Court Apartment, the Health Ministry has conducted 1,183 Covid-19 screenings and recorded a total of 381 positive cases," he said in his daily press briefing on Tuesday (Dec 22).

According to him, the Health Ministry conducted 1,041 Covid-19 screenings at Ria apartment and confirmed that there were new risks of infections detected after a close contact of a positive case went to go through the screening process.

"For Rumah Kongsi Kg Semaut, the Health Ministry conducted Covid-19 screening on all residents and only three individuals showed symptoms.

"However, the Rapid Test Kit Antigen (RTK Antigen) test was negative," he said
