THE mystery “door knocks” are now haunting residents of a village in Jerantut, Pahang, Sinar Harian reported.
A shop helper was traumatised after hearing a knock while taking
a rest in her house alone.
Siti Fatimah Ghazali, 37, from Kampung Perias said the incident happened at 9pm last Friday.
“I am aware of similar incidents in Selangor and Melaka from social media and in the newspapers.
“Before I heard the knocks, I was reading an article about the mysterious incident online, ” she said, adding that she was alone during the incident.
Siti Fatimah added that her neighbour, Habibah Sulong, 57, heard the same mysterious door knocks which went on for around five minutes.
She said there was no one outside the door and assumed it was done by teenagers in the village.
“However, it became even scarier when I started to smell something awful like a rotting carcass, ” she added.
Jerantut District Police head, Supt Mazlan Hassan, confirmed that they have received several reports from the villagers regarding the incidents.
At the same time, Tahan assemblyman Mohd Zakhwan Badarddin said they will be working with the district religious office to ease fears among the villagers.
“I have discussed with the religious office to organise a mass prayer session, ” he said.
> Actress Fatin Afeefa has withdrawn from a singing contest due to a corneal ulcer, a type of eye infection, Kosmo! reported.
The 26-year-old said her left eye was infected for a few days before she decided to pull out.
“My eyes became so painful and it started to get watery and swollen.
“I was warded once I was referred to a doctor who found an ulcer on my left eyeball, ” she said.
Fatin, who was a contestant in Vokal Mania by TV3, decided to pull out of the later rounds for fear of losing her vision.
“I do not want to put more burden on the production, and the doctor has advised me to rest, ” she said after being discharged from hospital on Thursday.
Fatin said excessive lighting would cause further damage to her cornea, and the contest would require a lot of lighting directed at her.
“Praise be to God, I am gradually recovering and will be back to work soon, ” she said.
