PETALING JAYA: Selangor police have set their sights on reducing index crime, which includes willful homicide, forcible rape, robbery and aggravated assault, by 5% and are hoping to do so through crime prevention operations throughout the state.
Selangor Crime Prevention and Community Safety department chief Senior Asst Comm Datuk K. Kumaran said police would carry out such operations throughout September as index crime had increased after the recovery movement control order (MCO) was introduced.
