KUALA LUMPUR: The Road Transport (Amendment) Bill 2020 was passed in the Dewan Rakyat with a simple voice vote to increase penalties for driving under the influence of alcohol, drugs and reckless driving.
The passing of the Act means that stiffer punishments await those who cause death due to recklessness or driving under the influence.
