PUTRAJAYA: The initial focus on Saturday when the mandatory face mask rule rolls out will be on public transport to ensure full compliance among users, says the Health Ministry.
Its director-general Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said this was because public transport, including buses and trains, were operating at full capacity and no longer implementing social distancing. “Now we have evidence to suggest that using face masks can break the chain of Covid-19 transmission by 60% – that is the reason we encourage the wearing of the face mask.
