Construction worker buried alive under landslide


PETALING JAYA: A gruesome work accident led to the death of a construction worker, after he was buried alive under a landslide.

On Monday (July 20), the 35-year-old foreign worker was working at a construction site in Kota Damansara, when tragedy struck at around 12.58pm.

"Investigations showed that the victim was assembling a waste disposal pipe underground. The sides then caved in and buried the victim. He was pronounced dead while on the way to the Sungai Buloh hospital.

"The police are investigating the cause of the incident," said district OCPD Asst Comm Nik Ezanee Mohd Faisal in a statement Tuesday (July 21).
