Minister: Face mask in school not compulsory


PUTRAJAYA: Schools are only required to provide face masks to students and staff who show symptoms during school sessions, says Senior Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob (pic).

“The guidelines issued by the Education Ministry only require schools to provide soap, hand sanitisers and carry out temperature screening,” he said in a statement yesterday explaining that the use of face mask in school was not compulsory.
