Perak govt looking for private investors to take over MAPS theme park

IPOH: The Perak government is looking for private investors to take over the Movie Animation Park Studios (MAPS), says the state’s tourism committee chairman.

Datuk Nolee Ashilin Mohd Radzi (pic) said the theme park was now undergoing a liquidation process.

"We are looking for private investors to take over its management so it will not be under the state government anymore," she said after launching an inbound tourism campaign at a hotel here Friday (July 3).

"I do hope that the park can reopen," she added.

The RM520mil theme park has been closed since the end of January this year. It first opened to the public in June 2017.
