Four injured in Shah Alam 12-vehicle pile-up

SHAH ALAM: Four people were injured in an accident involving a lorry and 11 other vehicles at Persiaran Mokhtar Dahari, Alam Budiman here on Friday (Oct 9).

Selangor Fire and Rescue Department assistant operations director Ashrul Riezal Asbar said the department was informed of the crash at about 4.30pm and immediately dispatched personnel to the scene.

"The accident left a man and a woman with serious head injuries, while two other male victims sustained minor injuries," he said in a statement.

Ashrul said all the victims were rushed to hospital for further treatment.

Earlier, a video of the incident went viral on social media, showing a lorry believed to have been travelling against the flow of traffic before crashing into several vehicles at the road junction. - Bernama
