PETALING JAYA: Malaysia recorded 10 new Covid-19 cases as of noon Saturday (June 27), bringing the total number of positive cases to 8,616.
Health Ministry director-general Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said of the new cases, four were imported cases and six involved local transmission.
Of the four imported cases, three involved permanent residents who were allowed to return on work-related matters.
Of the six local transmission cases, two involved non-citizens.
No deaths were recorded till noon Saturday. The total number of deaths remained at 121.
Dr Noor Hisham also said 14 patients had recovered and were discharged from hospitals as at noon Saturday, bringing the total number of recovered patients to 8,308 (accounting for 96.4% of the total number of cases).
