Elderly woman found dead at Jalan Ipoh condo

KUALA LUMPUR: An elderly woman was found dead with serious head injuries after an alleged fall at a condominium in Jalan Ipoh.

Sentul OCPD Asst Comm S. Shanmugamoorthy said police received a report about the incident at 11.45am on Tuesday (June 9), and found the 75-year-old woman on the third floor of the condominium's parking lot.

"She is believed to have gone there to visit her eldest son, who was staying at a unit on the 15th floor of the condominium.

"However, no one was home when she arrived," he said, adding that a few of the woman's belongings were found at the corridor in front of her eldest son's apartment.

He said the woman had lived with another son at Taman Daya, Kepong.

ACP Shanmugamoorthy said there were no witnesses when the incident happened and police have yet to find any evidence of foul play in the case.

"We will continue our investigations and have classified the case as sudden death," he said.

The deceased's remains were later brought to Hospital Kuala Lumpur.
