Cops investigating hit-and-run accident near Setia Jasa roundabout

SHAH ALAM: A video of a hit-and-run case that has gone viral is being investigated by the police.

On Saturday (March 14), a car that was being driven near the Setia Jasa roundabout abruptly crossed a lane as it was entering the roundabout.

A motorcyclist crashed into the car after the victim failed to avoid the vehicle.

The car driver then sped off without stopping to check on the motorcyclist.

"The victim was brought to the Shah Alam Hospital for treatment and has yet to make a police report," said Shah Alam deputy police chief Supt Ramsay Embol in a statement Sunday (March 15).

He added that a special team is tracing the suspect.

"Investigations to trace the driver are ongoing via the CCTV footage obtained. Members of the public with information on the case are urged to go to the Traffic police station in IPD Shah Alam, or contact investigating officer Insp Hasrul at 011-3121 5697," he said.
