1MDB hearing postponed over Covid-19 fears

KUALA LUMPUR: The 1Malaysia Development Bhd (1MDB) hearing has been vacated for the day by the High Court as the defence team in the trial was said to be in proximity with a person who is suspected of contracting the Covid-19.

Lawyer Noor Farhah Mustaffa from Messrs Shafee & Co informed Justice Collin Lawrence Sequerah that lead counsel Tan Sri Muhammad Shafee Abdullah received a phone call from his wife on Thursday (March 12) afternoon informing that his sister-in-law had to be tested for the virus.
