Johor exco line-up unveiled; PKR defector gets trade and consumer affairs


JOHOR BARU: Johor Mentri Besar Datuk Hasni Mohammad has unveiled the portfolios of his state executive committee members.

He said Semarang assemblyman Datuk Samsolbari Jamali, who is the state Umno secretary, would be the Agriculture, Agro-based and Rural Development committee chairman.

Puteri Wangsa assemblyman and state Parti Pribumi Bersatu chairman Mazln Bujang is the state Education, Information, Heritage and Culture committee chairman.

“Kahang assemblyman R. Vidyanathan is the state Health and Environment committee chairman, Bukit Permai assemblyman Tosrin Jarvanthi is the state Islamic Religious Affairs committee chairman.

“Larkin assemblyman Mohd Izhar Ahmad is the Investment, Cooperatives, Entrepreneurship Development and Human Resource Committee chairman, Tenang assemblyman Mohd Solihan Badri is the state Works, Transportation and Infrastructures committee chairman, Sungai Balang assemblywoman Zaiton Ismail is the Women Development, Family and Community committee chairman, Layang-Layang assemblyman Datuk Onn Hafiz Ghazi is the state Tourism, Youth and Sports committee chairman, ” he added.

According to Hasni, Pemanis assemblyman Dr Chong Fat Full, who became independent after leaving PKR, had been appointed state Unity, Trade and Consumers Affairs committee chairman.

The Benut assemblyman added that he would hold the state Natural Resources, Administration, Finance, and Economic Planning and Development portfolios.

Hasni, who is the state Umno and Barisan Nasional chairman, said the swearing in ceremony of his executive committee members earlier in the day went smoothly before Johor Ruler Sultan Ibrahim Ibni Almarhum Sultan Iskandar at Istana Bukit Serene.

He called his line-up “Prosperous Johor” (Makmur Johor) as his administration's objective was to benefit the state.

“These executive committee members received His Majesty’s approval where they want to contribute for Johor and work together with me to steer the state.

“Enough with the politics and fighting, as one thing for sure is all of us wanted the best for the state, ” he added.
