MELAKA: Melaka Yang di-Pertua Negeri Tun Dr Mohd Khalil Yaakob has rejected Chief Minister Adly Zahari's (pic) proposal to dissolve the state assembly and hold fresh polls.
The Bukit Katil assemblyman in a statement on Monday (March 2) said a state election was needed due to the political instability in Melaka, which had impacted progress and there was a need to go back to the people for a new mandate, Bernama reported.
