‘Energy stone’ revealed to contain high radiation levels

A WOMAN in Dalian, China, who thought she was wearing a “deep sea energy stone”, was shocked to find out that it had been emitting dangerous levels of radiation during a routine check at the airport, China Press reported.

The stone had been releasing a cardiac output of 112.4Sv/hr according to measurements by Customs officers at the airport – a whopping 112 times more than the average level of radiation.

The stone, which had caused the woman to suffer from nose bleeds since she began wearing it three months ago, was suspected to contain Th-232, an isotope of thorium, a radioactive element.

Years of exposure to the element could cause bone cancer.

According to the report, the stone was a gift from the woman’s father.

The local environmental department had to be called in to ensure that the stone was disposed properly.

The Customs department later warned consumers against wearing “energy products” of questionable origin.

> The Chinese daily also reported that Taiwanese singer Lala Hsu suffered a wardrobe malfunction during her 2019 Year-End Concert recently.

The 34-year-old singer suddenly screamed while performing her song Love on stage, startling the audience. She was then seen adjusting her bra underneath her dress.

“It (the bra) has become a belt. It’s no wonder that my chest felt cold all of a sudden, ” she joked.

Apparently, her dance movements caused the undergarment to slip mid-performance.

It was earlier reported that tickets for her concert were sold out in seconds.

Hsu, who became famous after winning the television singing competition One Million Star in 2008, won the Best Mandarin Female Singer award at the 29th Golden Melody Awards last year.
