Maintain two Tamil education programmes, Astro urged

TAMIL school teachers and parents have expressed shock and disappointment that the Maanavar Muzhakkam and Pesu Tamizha Pesu programmes have been scrapped by Astro, Malaysia Nanban reported.The two programmes, which were aired for eight years and three years respectively, were popular with students and the Indian community.

The shows served as a platform for Tamil school students to develop their Tamil language abilities outside of classes, several headmasters said.
