Azmin, Faizal Azumu among Bersatu leaders at Muhyiddin’s home for special meeting

KUALA LUMPUR: The residence of Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu) president Muhyiddin Yassin has again come under the spotlight following a special meeting held on Sunday (Feb 8) night.

Among those present were Bersatu secretary-general Mohamed Azmin Ali and vice-president Ahmad Faizal Azumu, Sinar Harian reported.

However, members of the media were not allowed to enter the gated and guarded residence of the Pagoh MP.

It is understood that the gathering was also held in conjunction with welcoming the arrival of Ramadan.

Earlier, Azmin had said that a special meeting involving members of Bersatu’s supreme leadership council was scheduled to take place at Muhyiddin’s home on Sunday.

The meeting comes amid signs of escalating leadership tensions within the party, particularly following mounting pressure and increasingly visible friction between the president’s camp and that of his deputy, Hamzah Zainudin.
