‘Private financing to fund Penang airport expansion’

GEORGE TOWN: The Penang Inter­national Airport (PIA) will be expanded through a private finan­cing initiative (PFI) as the government is running short on funds, says Finance Minister Lim Guan Eng.

He said a private company would be picked through an open tender to expand the PIA at an estimated cost of RM1.2bil by the end of this year.
