Passenger screening to take just a few seconds with MyNIISe, says Saifuddin

SEPANG: The implementation of the National Integrated Immigration System (MyNIISe) at all entry points nationwide from this September is expected to reduce passenger processing time to between four and five seconds.

Home Minister Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail said the system, which will replace the existing Malaysian Immigration System (MyIMMs), would serve as a key catalyst in strengthening border control.

He described MyNIISe as a "game changer" that would help address congestion issues at airports, whether for departures or arrivals.

"We do not want to continue facing situations where airports are crowded, either at departure or arrival points," he told reporters after a working visit to Kuala Lumpur International Airport Terminal 1 on Tuesday (May 5).

"This system enables clearance through three methods – facial recognition, QR codes and passports."
