IPOH: After the incest case involving a 13-year-old boy and his 15-year-old sister, Perak state exco member Wong May Ing says sex education needs to be pushed in schools.
This is because children these days have easier access to pornographic websites but have no proper sexual education, said the State Women and Family Development, Character Development and Community Welfare Committee chairman.
Wong was responding to the case reported on Sunday (Dec 17) when a 13-year-old boy was arrested after his 15-year-old sister gave birth to their baby near Kampar on Dec 15.
His sister, who quit school at the age of 14, admitted that she had sex with her brother several times at the back room of their house.
"I will plan a visit to see the family soon.
"I will also work closely with the assemblymen and MPs in Kampar to discuss how we can help the family," she said when contacted.
She added that she will have a clearer plan on how to help them after her visit.
