Boy held after sister gives birth to his baby

IPOH: A 13-year-old boy has been detained after his 15-year-old sister gave birth to his baby - inside the toilet of their house in Kampar.

“She initially thought she had a stomach ache and went to the toilet.

“Then she screamed in pain for her mother. Her mother rushed in and found her daughter covered with blood and there was a baby in the toilet bowl,” Kampar OCPD Supt Hasron Nazri Hashim said.

They were taken to the hospital soon after the delivery on Saturday.

He said the girl, who quit school when she was 14, admitted that she had sex with her brother several times. They did it inside a room at the back of their house in May.

“However, she did not know that she was pregnant because she had no symptoms while carrying the baby,” Supt Hasron Nazri said.

The girl is now being treated at Raja Permaisuri Bainun Hospital after suffering loss of blood while giving birth.

As for the baby girl, she was being checked by a paediatric specialist in the hospital because of a head injury she had when she was found in the toilet bowl, he added.
