IPOH: “Woke up, married.”
That was the simple Instagram posting by Dyana Sofya Mohd Daud, the DAP Socialist Youth executive council member.
Dyana Sofya, 31, tied the knot with Zairil Khir Johari, who is Penang Works, Utilities and Flood Mitigation Committee chairman, yesterday.
They held a wedding ceremony at the Royal Perak Golf Club here.
Dyana Sofya was in a maroon dress while Zairil, 36, wore a brown suit that matched with his two children.
The bride said she was ready to be the mother to Zairil’s children from a previous marriage.
Zairil, meanwhile, said he would resume work today before taking leave for their honeymoon somewhere in east Asia.
The ceremony was attended by about 1,300 people.
Those present included DAP veteran Lim Kit Siang, Perak Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Ahmad Faizal Azumu and wife, Selangor Mentri Besar Amirudin Shari, Gua Musang MP Tengku Razaleigh Hamzah, Ipoh Timur MP Wong Kah Woh and several Perak exco members.
Dyana Sofya and Zairil got engaged in March.
The solemnisation ceremony was held on Saturday at the same venue.
