JOHOR BARU: A multi-vehicle accident has caused massive congestion along the North-South Expressway near KM31.9 southbound between Sedenak and Kulai on Tuesday (June 23).
According to updates from PLUS Malaysia in a Facebook post, the accident, first reported at 8.48am today, initially caused congestion in both directions near KM33.
Subsequent updates confirmed that the exact location of the crash was between KM31.8 and KM31.9 southbound from Sedenak to Kulai.
At one point, all southbound lanes and the right lane northbound were blocked, while earlier reports said all lanes in both directions were obstructed.
As of 10.56am, recovery works were still under way.
Southbound traffic was reported to be at a standstill for up to 9km, while northbound traffic was congested for up to 8km.
Motorists are advised to use alternative routes and exit at the Sedenak and Kulai toll plazas.
Road users were also urged to plan their journeys carefully and check the @plustrafik page on X or the PLUS app for the latest traffic information.
Those in the affected area were advised to use navigation apps such as Google Maps or Waze to avoid the congestion.
