Selangor PAS manifesto outlines growth for state

SHAH ALAM: Various policies benefiting the people were the highlight of the Selangor PAS’ general election manifesto dubbed Selangor Sejahtera (Prosperous Selangor).

The manifesto came with 10 main thrusts and 33 provisions and was launched by state PAS commissioner Sallehen Mukhyi under Gagasan Sejahtera Selangor.

PAS is a major player in Gagasan Sejahtera, which also comprises Parti Ikatan Bangsa Malaysia (Ikatan) and the Pan-Malaysian Islamic Front (Berjasa).

Among the provisions in the manifesto were incentives for those managing Muslim and non-Muslim places of worship; monthly groceries for target groups, free education in state-owned institutions and a RM500 incentive for women who have given birth.

According to Sallehen, the manifesto was tailored for PAS to lead the Selangor state government post-election.

“PAS is offering itself as a better choice to manage the state,” said Sallehen,

He added PAS would also maintain and fine-tune all programmes initiated by the current state government.
