Zairil-Dyana set to get engaged in Ipoh

IPOH: The engagement of DAP's Zairil Khir Johari and Dyana Sofya Mohd Daud will be held at a prominent hotel here on Saturday.

Although the hotel's daily itinerary did not reveal any names, door gifts placed at one of the function rooms were seen emblazoned with the hashtag "#zairilxdyana''.

Members of media who arrived at about 9am after getting wind of the location of the function were politely told to refrain from taking any pictures in the hall.

As of 10.30am, scores of relatives and guests had arrived for the occasion, although most were tight-lipped when approached.

Zairil is DAP's national assistant publicity secretary, Penang vice-chairman and Bukit Bendera MP. Dyana Sofya is DAP Socialist Youth national executive committee member.

Talk was rife that the two are getting engaged in Ipoh on Saturday.

This pair have tolerated the prying eyes of the public for years, with numerous exposes with grainy and badly taken photographs and videos showing couples who look a lot like them in cosy situations.

Both had denied it was them in each instance and derided the claims as gutter politics.
