IGP: Investigation papers into Namewee's video will be sent to A-G


KUALA LUMPUR: Investigation papers over rapper Namewee's controversial Like A Dog video will be sent to the Attorney-General's Chambers (AGC), says Tan Sri Mohamad Fuzi Harun.

The Inspector-General of Police said they would decide on any further action based on the AGC's recommendation.

"We will decide on further action once the investigation papers have been submitted," he said.

Namawee, 34, whose real name is Wee Meng Chee, was arrested on Thursday (Feb 22) after giving his statement at Bukit Aman and remanded for four days.

His remand expires on Monday (Feb 26).
